The Healing Young People Council is a non-profit organisation supported by the local parish council. We aim to engage, inspire & empower ALL Young People. Our main aims and goals are to offer an opportunity for young people to become engaged in the learning process and decision-making structures, which affect their lives and those of others, as well as their environment, encourage young people to gain the skills, knowledge and attitudes needed to identify, advocate and pursue their rights and responsibilities as individuals and as members of groups and the community and enable young people to understand and act upon personal, social and political issues that affect their lives, the lives of others and the communities of which they are a part.
Young Healing allows youth to;

Membership is open to all young people aged 11 to 18and who are residents of Healing Village or attend one of the schools in the village. Friends may also accompany full members to events and meetings. Membership is not for a specified length of time and can be repeated at any time.
A budget each year will be allocated to the YPC from the Village Council and/or the Ward Councillors as they see fit. The finance will be kept within the Healing Parish Council financial regulations and good practice guidelines and will be administered by the Parish Council on behalf of the YPC. Each year at its annual meeting the YPC will present a copy of its financial statement for the year. No member of the Council will be a signatory on the account and any expenditure/income will be fully declared to the Parish Council who will retain the final decision on suitability of expenditure. This will be carried out by members at any opportunity and all funds raised banked through the main Parish Council’s banking procedures.
The committee of the club shall be as follows Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson and the rest of the Group will all be Committee Members. There will also be a Committee Member who is the Liaison Member from the Parish Council. This member also has an equal vote on the Committee. Chairman and Vice-Chairman elected for one year at the annual meeting in May of each year. Committee Members all have an equal vote with no one member or Officer having a casting vote.
An Annual Meeting to be held in May of each year. Meetings to be held throughout the year as and when necessary but at least 4 meetings will be held throughout each calendar year April to March.
Resignations can be accepted at any time from any member and this would not prohibit a member from re-joining the Group in the future.
Changes to the constitution can be implemented if approved by a (two thirds) majority vote obtained at any meeting of the Group.
The complaints procedure allows members to raise complaints about any issues relating to the group and must be made in writing firstly to the Chairman who should then approach the liaison member from the Parish Council to discuss the issue and then it will follow the council’s own complaints procedure.
